Three year old Frigidaire upright freezer quit running. Kenneth B. • Crossville , TN • April 03, 2021
My barely three year old Frigidaire upright freezer quit running and we discovered it when most of the contents were just starting to thaw. Luckily we have nearby neighbors that my wife walks with most days and two or three of them came to our rescue with available freezer space to save the more valuable things like meat and seafood. The compressor would not come on, no fan, no noises of any kind but the light came on when the door was opened so obviously it had power. I unplugged it for a...

The compressor was clicking on and off refrigerator was blowing hot air inside Steve F. • Sealy , TX • May 27, 2017
I bought this relay switch and it works great. On the left side of the compressor there is a plastic cover you pry off with a screw driver. The relay switch had one wire plug on it. Just pull the wire off and the pull the relay switch off the compressor.

Genuine Frigidaire part
By: Frigidaire
Part Number: 216594300
The Starter is an OEM replacement part for Frigidaire refrigerators. This component is crucial for initiating the compressor, which is responsible for cooling the refrigerator. The starter works by providing the necessary electrical power to get the compressor running, ensuring that the refrigerator maintains the correct temperature.
Causes of a bad starter can include electrical malfunctions, wear and tear over time, or damage from power surges. A faulty starter can prevent the compressor from starting, leading to cooling issues.
Symptoms of a bad Starter include:
- The refrigerator not cooling properly
- The compressor not running or frequently cycling on and off
- Unusual clicking or buzzing noises from the compressor area
- The refrigerator being warmer than usual or food spoiling quickly
This OEM replacement is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Kenmore models.

The overload switch was heat cracked on the plastic and looked like it had had enough. This was easily accomplished by using the repair mans print out for the...
