The gearbox assembly is found in tillers and is where the gears are housed that supply the drive and torque for the unit. The gearbox assembly is designed to provide protection for the gears and the other internal components, which are responsible for transferring energy to increase torque and control speed. Although it is made of durable materials, it may become worn or damaged over time and require a replacement. This genuine OEM gearbox assembly is produced to exact manufacturer standards and made to be used in compatible machines from Yard-Man, Ryobi, Yard Machines, Bolens, Cub Cadet, and MTD. The gearbox assembly is sold as an individual assembly and comes ready to install with the four screws required for installation. Be sure to wear gloves and disconnect the power from the tiller before performing any repairs. Allow the unit to cool completely and follow the diagram to ensure that the replacement part fits exactly. This assembly will require a screwdriver and wrench set to replace.
