The glue behind the keypad loosened and the keypad slowly began slipping down out of place over several months. Finally, because of the movement, it warped which resulted in one of the keys being stuck. That is what gave the F12 error code. The fix was easy. Well, I gotta say I was happy to find you still had parts for almost 20 year old microwaves. The microwave itself worked fine, so I hated to have to buy a new one, but I just couldn't take being hit in the head anymore; and my fix of using string and wire to tie it to the surrounding cabinets was unsightly to say the least. I am plagiarizing some info from the techs.. 1. Turn off the electrical supply to the range. 2. I looked at some of the repair videos online and it didnt seem too hard. But when i went to change the handle i was pleasantly surprised. I did not have to disassemble the door as in the video..
