Door, Door Glass & Parts

First problem was figuring out the correct part to order. I went to the Frigidare website for help there. The door was sandwiched in several layers. The part that broke was of course the plastic one. The door was poorly designed having a piece of plastic support heavy glass and metal! My brother, an engineer actually did the repair as it required three people to install the reassembled door. I ordered a replacement glass from Appliance Part Pros on Friday evening and it was delivered on Monday morning. It was packed well and I appreciated the quick delivery. I watched the Appliance Part Pros video and it was not helpful because it was for a different door but it did have some useful advice. Careful placement of new screws into the inside of the outer door that now hold the frame assembly to the door secured the frame assembly to the outer door. All of the other parts I bought and replaced were a waste of money. I figured since I had them I might as well install them anyways. Primarily, removed oven door. Be cognizant of how you disassembled ... Very important when you reassemble ! By-the-way,this was ALL PRECIPITATED by wanting to clean the interior side of oven door glass after my wife self-cleaned the oven! How in-the-world did grease get there in the first place!?
