This triple-solenoid water inlet valve controls water flow to the ice maker and water dispenser in Frigidaire and Electrolux side-by-side and French door refrigerators. If the ice maker has stopped producing ice, water is leaking from the back of the refrigerator, or the dispenser has low or no water flow, a failed water inlet valve is a common cause. The valve requires at least 20 psi of water pressure to close properly - if pressure is adequate and the valve still leaks or fails to supply water, the valve itself is likely defective and should be replaced. Disconnect water supply and unplug the refrigerator before installation. Note the positions of the color-coded water lines before removing the old valve, and confirm all push-connect fittings are fully seated with retention clips in place after installing the new one.
I replaced it. Read more

Oven won't heat after self-cleaning? This high-limit thermostat cuts power when temperatures get too high. Moderately easy DIY repair fix.
Online chat here said that the oven sensor should be replaced. I got the feeling that was a bit off, so I went with my gut and ordered the thermostat as well. Replaced the sensor and that didn't fix it. Replaced the thermostat and it worked like a charm! Disappointed that they were overconfident in their answer and it would have taken me more days to fix - but, the products came in quickly (basically, next day) and were correct. Online video for my particular oven was incorrect - but it's... Read more

Dryer not heating or flame goes out after igniting? This flame sensor monitors burner temperature to regulate gas flow. Easy 15-minute DIY repair.
Being a complete DIY I hate to call some unknown person into my home knowing that just to get them there will cost me more than I will spend for parts that I don't need. After all, they are trying to make a living and by selling me parts that I don't need will increase their profits. I've dealt with APP before and was impressed by their site because I could find both mechanical and electrical drawings for almost everything I have. I looked up my dryer, decided what was probably the problem,... Read more
Idler pulley assembly for dryers. Mounts on the idler arm to keep the belt aligned and tensioned. Replace if pulley is worn, cracked, or squeaking.
The very easy diagnosis was motor seizure. Because the machine is about a decade old, I decided to renovate most of the guts. My DIY project included replacing the motor, blower, drum bearing, belt, and door hinge. The end result is a functional dryer with no left-over parts. Lack of parts and hardware challenged the effort. For example, the blower assembly did not have the slide capture for the motor. I had to use the old one which is showing its age. With the exception of the drum... Read more
Replaces worn or broken refrigerator door hinge bearing. Installs between door and hinge bracket to support smooth opening and closing motion.
I went to Appliance Parts Pros and watched a few videos. Ordered the door closer plate and door hinge bearing. Removed all of the door bins and contents. Removed four screws total. Lifted the door off of the hinge, replace the two parts on the bottom hinge. Put the door back on the hinge with a little silicone on the new parts. Replaced all of the screws and no more popping. It took more time to clean all of the door bins than to fix the hinge. The video was 100% accurate. No surprises. Read more

First i called sears parts direct to order this part, because that is where i purchased my electric range. they had an outrageous price of $98. unbelievable to think that such a small piece of rubber could cost that much. i also called a few other parts dealers on other websites. they also had high prices. when i called appliance parts pros they cut the cost by 50%. i am not sure if i could have found a better price because i stopped there. it is exhausting and time consuming to have to compare... Thanking APP ahead of time for expedient 1 day express parts & videos! I kept a LOG on this repair fix starting 6/21/20: started with cleaning out behind the Frigidaire /coils, fan blade, floor, walls, toe-plate, compressor. #1 Replaced just the Run Capacitor [from my local appl store]. Somewhat better but not a fix. Fridge controls need much higher settings than Factory Settings - which is recommended.
