First i called sears parts direct to order this part, because that is where i purchased my electric range. they had an outrageous price of $98. unbelievable to think that such a small piece of rubber could cost that much. i also called a few other parts dealers on other websites. they also had high prices. when i called appliance parts pros they cut the cost by 50%. i am not sure if i could have found a better price because i stopped there. it is exhausting and time consuming to have to compare... • Door won't open or close

My 10 year old frig door was hanging down to the point it wasnt fully closing and sealing unless you picked up on it. I ordered a lower hinge bracket, upper and lower bearing, and spacer. My bracket was bent down a little due to my kids hanging on the door when looking at the bottom shelf and i discovered my bracket was held on by only two bolts when there was supposed to be three. First, I took an ohm reading across the elements and determined the bad one, which was failed, open circuit. (Zero continuity) I then replaced the lower heating element of the upper oven. Although the design of the oven and element make it appear that it will just drop down and slide out the front, this is not quite the case. It took a long time to determine the problem but eventually I discovered that the plastic bracket (latch hook) that held the three door-switches showed appreciable wear from repeated door openings and closings. This wear stopped the door from sealing properly and the door switch safety mechanism blew the line fuse. I replaced the worn bracket (AP6230612) as well as the plastic latch mechanism (AP4553585) on the door that engages this bracket (and of course the fuse too) and the microwave now... Read more

I had an appliance repair guy come and he told me it was possibly the vent assembly but if changing it didn't fix the problem it would be the control board next. He felt it was not worth the money to repair because he would have to disconnect everything just to get to the vent on the right rear top of the dishwasher. I went to Appliance Parts Pros and watched a few videos. Ordered the door closer plate and door hinge bearing. Removed all of the door bins and contents. Removed four screws total. Lifted the door off of the hinge, replace the two parts on the bottom hinge. Put the door back on the hinge with a little silicone on the new parts. Replaced all of the screws and no more popping. It took more time to clean all of the door bins than to fix the hinge. The video was 100% accurate. No surprises. Read more

We ordered a new handle and two screws. The part was very easy to find and was in stock. Shipped out in 2 days and delivered by fed -ex. My teenage son put the handle on in less than 5 minutes. very easy. So happy we can finally use the oven again. Read more

I very seldom respond to requests for feedback like this but definitely feel moved to do so in this case. When our 8 year old dishwasher started acting up my initial reaction was to simply replace it. I wasn't sure what was wrong, nor if I would be able to find the right part once I did figure out the problem. First we tried to change the filter. Water was leaking from the area of the filter when we changed the filter. We purchased an "original" Fridgidaire filter, no change. Did some research on the internet and decided to change the two tubes and the filter valve (at the back of the filter housing). Must have been the right diagnostic and the right part to make the repair, Gave me an opportunity to clean the condenser coils as well. After 6 years of service they needed it badly. Read more

I kept a LOG on this repair fix starting 6/21/20: started with cleaning out behind the Frigidaire /coils, fan blade, floor, walls, toe-plate, compressor. #1 Replaced just the Run Capacitor [from my local appl store]. Somewhat better but not a fix. Fridge controls need much higher settings than Factory Settings - which is recommended.
