Frigidaire Water Inlet Valve
Genuine Frigidaire part
By: Frigidaire
Part Number: 218859701

The Water Inlet Valve is an OEM part for Frigidaire refrigerators. It controls the flow of water into the refrigerator's ice maker and water dispenser, ensuring a steady and reliable water supply. This valve opens and closes as needed, allowing water to enter the ice maker and dispenser for proper operation.

Causes of a bad water inlet valve can include mineral buildup, wear and tear, or electrical issues. A malfunctioning valve can lead to problems with water flow, affecting the refrigerator’s ability to produce ice and dispense water properly.

Symptoms of a bad water inlet valve include:

  • No water dispensing from the refrigerator
  • Ice maker not producing ice
  • Leaks from the valve area
  • Unusual noises coming from the valve

This OEM replacement is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Kenmore models.

After checking the inlet hoses and their connections but without opening the top cover to see the actual water level pressure switch, I went ahead and ordered the part. Frigidaire Water Inlet Valve
Genuine Frigidaire part
By: Frigidaire
Part Number: 134959330

This water inlet valve is a genuine OEM replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer for use in washing machines. Hot and cold water coming into the machine is controlled by the water inlet valve. This valve is connected to the solenoid that receives signals from the washing machine's control center to tell it when water is needed, how much water is needed, and the water temperature. The solenoid sends those signals to the valve, opening the gates to allow water to flow in until it is signaled to stop. If the washing machine is leaking water or not filling with water, the water inlet valve should be replaced.Unplug the water and power to the washing machine. Pull the machine away from the wall and remove the back panel. Disconnect the water hoses from the inlet valve and take the wires off the valve connecting it to the solenoid. Remove the old valve and install the new valve. Reconnect the wiring and water hoses. Reinstall the back cover. Turn the water and power back on and check for leaks. This water inlet valve is made of heavy-duty molded plastic and is sold individually. It is designed for washing machines manufactured by Frigidaire.

The part came 2nd day UPS and I installed it in under an hour.
