I replaced the defrost thermostat and the defrost timer. That corrected the problem. Be careful when ordering your parts. I put in my model# and they gave me a defrost timer that was incorrect. I had to return at my cost and order the correct one. Don't assume because you put in your model# that the part is correct. Tried to put refrigerator in defrost mode and defrost would not initiate. Checked the bi-metal and heater, both tested good. Replaced the ADC board and refrigerator went in to defrost. problem solved. Read more

We have a Frigidaire LGHS2667KE0. I’m not an appliance technician. Our refrigerator was not working. We were getting an error code SY CE on the front control panel. First I googled my model number and found out others had this problem. I was quickly able to find out the cause of the problem. After calling maytag they informed me of a $85.00 appointment fee that didn't include parts or labor. I decided to repair it myself! I purchased a new igniter for the bake assembly and found that it, unfortunately, did not resolve my problem. I measured the resistance of the different points on the gas valve and it was reading within spec so I then purchased this spark module and it did the trick. My gas range is a Kitchenaid kgsk901sss02. I searched online and found Appliance Parts Pros to have the best price and an instructional video on how to replace this part. I've never done any type of repairs on a washing machine and figured I would give it a try. The repair guy was going to charge me upwards of $225 to replace the timer in my washer, if in fact it was the timer. I decided with Christmas just a month away that there had to be a better way. Test showed it was the infrared sensor, so I ordered the replacement parts, which arrived with standard shipping in just a couple of day. The video on the site show exactly what to do.
