• Will not drain

It was a relatively easy fix. Removed the small access panel at the back of the washing machine after unplugging the unit. The pump is right there. Disconnected the two hoses to the pump, catching some water with towels. Removed three retaining screws, then realized I had not disconnected the belt from under the unit. Easy fix, tilted the unit and disconnected the belt. Put in the new pump , connected the hoses, then reconnected the belts. Works like new! Read more

I've opened sump housing to check for clogging but it was clean. When I removed check valve to inspect it I've found out that the round part of the valve was missing so I figured it might've blocked the water exit at drain hose or something like that. So I pulled the dishwasher out to get a full access to drain hose connector and the pump. I looked up the parts online at AppliancePros.com! To my surprise, the detailed drawings showed that I could replace the center rail (about $13) instead of the entire lower shelf (about $100)! The problem was that the motor coupler & shaft had a tiny bit of rust at their union. With the weight of the ice bin it rusted in the lowest position. This didn't allow the motor coupler to float on the shaft. There is a spring inside the shaft that pushes up on the motor coupler keeping it engaged in the ice bin coupler above. The tech sheet test 56 said the motor wouldn't return to zero. I ordered the "Ice Maker Assy-Lp, and the Valve Assy-Water Dual". On my particular model the ice maker is in the ceiling of the refrigerator box. After removing the water filter and two screws around the drop down water filter door, the right side panel drops down by pulling it apart from 3 plastic pop-ins.
