This water level pressure switch senses tub water level and signals the control to stop filling and advance the cycle. Replacing a failed switch restores proper fill shut-off and allows the washer to move to wash, drain, and spin.
- Detects water level via air pressure in the attached hose from the tub air dome
- Signals the timer/control to close inlet valves at the selected fill level
- Enables agitation and spin only when the level is appropriate or the tub is empty
- Typical symptoms of a failed switch include overfilling or underfilling, continuous filling, cycle not advancing, or no spin
What's included: 1 water level pressure switch Install notes:
- Disconnect power and turn off water supply before servicing
- Access the switch in the control console or top panel; note wire locations for reassembly
- Transfer the pressure hose and wire connectors to the new switch one at a time; ensure the hose is clear, not kinked or cracked, and fits snugly
- After installation, run a quick fill test to ensure proper shut-off and cycle progression
