My Maytag dishwasher model # MDB7749AWM2 has a diagnosis routine where you push 'normal wash' then 'heated dry' three times in quick succession. This made the machine cycle through all the functions. Initially displayed "30", would not change and no response from control panel button inputs. At one point, the display changed to "12" after a power off and the dryer did function again for a short period of time. It's now working good with a new control panel. Read more

Used the model number on the side of the wash door to do an internet search for a "control panel". Got an immediate hit of the Appliance Parts Pros site. When I selected two required parts the web site confirmed that the parts I selected were correct tor the model number. One day our house lost power for only about a second or two, and then everything in the house came back as normal, except now half the buttons on the stove front didn't work. I ordered the control panel from Appliance Parts Pros and installed it. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to unhook the 2 strips on the inside from the oven. All you need to do is lift up the back side of the clips and the strips will come right out. Install the new strips in the clips and then push down. Very simple if you are familiar with this type of connection. Read more

I replaced the old control panel with a new one. I also changed out the door seal to help prevent the control panel from going bad a second time. It was the heat from the oven getting to the keypad on the control panel that caused it to go bad. Read more

This is an oven with keypad directly above oven door. And needed to replace the keypad and housing. Pretty easy fix. first turn oven off at breaker and unplug unit. Second pull off top burner knobs and remove 2 screws that are hidden behind each knob. 4th remove housing screws (1 screw on each side of housing and 4 screws on bottom of housing). 5th pull out housing and disconnect all wire connectors from mother board.
