With extended use, the buttons on a control panel may wear out or stop responding to user input. Before installing this part, be sure to cut power to the appliance and allow it to cool completely. The stove may need to be pulled away from the wall to access the screws holding the old control panel in place. Remove the screws from each side of the old control panel to disconnect it, then carefully remove any boards or other components installed within the panel. Once it has been completely removed, the new control panel can be installed in its place. This is a genuine OEM part compatible with ranges manufactured by Whirlpool brands, including Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and others. This product is just the panel and contains no additional parts or hardware.
My 15 year old son and I examined the new parts and made a plan for how we were going to take the front off of the oven. Turns out it was fairly simple. We removed the knobs, the knob shrouds, two philip screws on the side of the head and about 6, 6mm hex sheet screws. Voila! It came apart. We carefully looked at how the old parts were assembled and simply reversed the assembly with the new parts. Since one of our parts was the entire front head, it went together quickly and it was a perfect... Read more

My Maytag dishwasher model # MDB7749AWM2 has a diagnosis routine where you push 'normal wash' then 'heated dry' three times in quick succession. This made the machine cycle through all the functions. This demonstrated to me that all systems functioned. So I came to the conclusion that it was only the lights/buttons that did not work, and I was right. So I ordered a new Panel Control. (I've seen that many more Maytag's use this same part) To replace the Panel Control took 9 minutes. UNPLUG THE... Read more

Used the model number on the side of the wash door to do an internet search for a "control panel". Got an immediate hit of the Appliance Parts Pros site. When I selected two required parts the web site confirmed that the parts I selected were correct tor the model number. This was very helpful as the same parts now seem to be used in several different manufacturers brands. Parts arrived quickly as promised and the replacement took about an hour. Read more
This is a control panel used in many dryers. It is an essential part that includes the touchpad for the appliance. This component sits on top of the dryer and allows the user to operate the machine. It includes buttons for cycles, drying temp, and other options for drying clothing after the use of a washing machine. It's made of durable materials but can be damaged and require replacement. It may also malfunction and stop showing cycle information on the front of the panel. The buttons can also experience issues necessitating replacement. If the control panel is damaged or malfunctioning, the first step to take is making sure the dryer is turned off. This will prevent any injuries or damage from occurring during the replacement process. A set of basic tools and a pair of work gloves will also be useful. The original control panel should be carefully removed from the washer and set to the side. This control panel is sold as a single part. It is an OEM replacement component that is sourced directly from the manufacturer. This part is made for use with several Maytag dryers.
Initially displayed "30", would not change and no response from control panel button inputs. At one point, the display changed to "12" after a power off and the dryer did function again for a short period of time. It's now working good with a new control panel. Read more

I ordered the control panel from Appliance Parts Pros and installed it. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to unhook the 2 strips on the inside from the oven. All you need to do is lift up the back side of the clips and the strips will come right out. Install the new strips in the clips and then push down. Very simple if you are familiar with this type of connection. Read more

One day our house lost power for only about a second or two, and then everything in the house came back as normal, except now half the buttons on the stove front didn't work. It made more sense to me that it was the sensitive electronic computer board and not the front panel which just holds the buttons that was fried, however I had read online how some other people had fixed a similar problem with replacing the panel with the buttons. Thanks to this site's fantastic return policy, I decided to... Read more

After doing much research online, I found out that the Touchpad on the JennAir downdraft gas range JGS9900BDS is very prone to "breaking." All my neighbors who has this model has reported that the touchpad stopped responding after a few years. Replacing was fairly simple. 1. Turn off the electricity to the range at the breaker 2. Pull the range out by an inch or two 3. On each side of the control panel, remove the screws. 4. Open the oven door and remove the 4 hex screws under the control... Read more

After doing some research online, I saw that to have an appliance repair person come out to fix the touchpad, would cost us well over $500. Some people said they would charge $500 for the part alone. I did a search for the part using our model number and read the reviews on this site and thought we'd give it a try. It was a very easy repair--anyone could do it. You basically remove four side screws and then the screws behind the knobs. Once you pull the front away, there are 4 screws holding... Read more
