After troubleshooting the problem I checked online for similar issues and how they were resolved. I discovered the video on YouTube for replacing the wash tub boot. Although the video was for a Whirlpool washer it turned out to be spot on for my Kenmore Elite. The breakdown and removal of the torn boot was bolt for bolt perfect. I ordered the part direct from Appliancepartspros.com on a Sunday night and it arrived by Tuesday afternoon. I watched the same video over, replaced the boot then... Read more

An online search for LG washing machine parts came up with a repair video from Appliance Parts Pros. I watched the video. After watching the video, I realized this repair was well within my abilities. No specialized tools were needed. I ordered the parts from Appliance Parts Pros, and all items were in stock and delivered within a couple... Read more
This replacement seal restores a watertight connection in your washer to help prevent leaks and moisture damage. It replaces a worn, cracked, or flattened original seal so components stay tightly sealed during use.
I ordered the dispenser and the distribution nozzle since the old one was in bad shape. I also replaced the boot since I had to take the entire machine apart and it is 20 years old. I watched your videos on you tune to learn what to do. I recently lost my job and really could not afford to hire someone to fix my washer. I have to say it wasn't that hard to do and my wife was so happy that I was able to fix it myself! I probably saved $200 or $300 in service calls and labor on top of what they... Read more

Turned out that the large gray boot/gasket had finally started to harden and deteriorate right at the bottom where the drain hose is. No surprise it leaked after seeing that. Installing the new gasket (and new clamps which I figured I would replace at the same time) did the trick. Fairly simple install. Do yourself a favor and buy the spring pliers to remove/install the clamps. Well worth the time and hassle they will save you. Read more

I had a slow leak from the very front of my LG washer, so I was pretty sure that it was just the gasket leaking, and not any of the hoses. It's not a complicated repair, with the usual confidence-inspiring video from Matt. There are three things to be aware of: 1) I originally ordered the wrong gasket. My model number is WM2277HW /01, which the APP website does not recognize. It only recognizes /00 or no suffix whatsoever. The correct part number for the /01 is 4986ER0004B. The easy way... I took apart the washer to find both of the weight balancers had broken in 2 and were banging around. They had also caused the boot seal to rip. I removed the broken weight balancers and replaced them along with a new boot seal. There was one small spot with the seal wasn't fully attached to the outer drum so I had to take it back apart to fix that minor error on my part. Otherwise, it was a fairly easy fix. Read more
Gasket for upper wheel.
With the basket out of the dishwasher, the plastic parts basically snap on and off... popped the broken parts off and the new parts on. The 2 wheel and mount assemblies were a little more complicated. The video on the website advises to disconnect the supply line and drain line... I didn't have to do this. I just pulled the dishwasher out of its cabinet a little over a foot and removed the 2 screws holding each assembly in place and removed them. The previous gaskets (2 PER ASSEMBLY)... Read more
