The Washer Drain Hose is an OEM replacement part for Frigidaire washing machines. It is a flexible, 7 ½ ft plastic hose that connects the washer tub to the household drainage system. The drain hose removes water from the washer at the end of each cycle. Symptoms of a faulty drain hose include:
Causes of a bad drain hose include kinks or bends that restrict water flow, cracks or holes from wear and tear, and blockages from accumulated debris. These issues can compromise the hose's ability to drain water properly.
This OEM replacement is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Kenmore models.
Simply open the top of the washer by inserting a putty knife (watch YouTube ) and then the front panel by removing two bottom philips head screws on the front. The whole front panel comes right off. Using pliers the spring clams holding each hose, they come off and each hose is replaced. The drain one was only leaking but since it has open I changed both and even the drive belt. It’s a full size stackable washer and dryer, in order to get at part you need to take the dryer off the washer. I just had a hip replacement 2 days before so I’m useless except for advice. Called my son to come over ( thank god he could) he couldn’t lift it off alone but I told him how to do it by just sliding the top of washer back 10 inches with the dryer on it and didn’t have to take it off ! I had to repair a previous "appliance repairman" fix. They obviously didn't order thier parts from AppliancePartPros.com. They had radiator hose clamps tightening down the hoses on the wrong size pump inlet and outlet. So THANKS to AppliancePartsPros.com I am no longer in the dog house!
