Ordered the gasket kit. The shipping time was quick. The installation was more difficult than anticipated. The inside of the door had to be removed there were about 30 hex head screws. the new gasket then had to be fitted to the interior of the door and then placed on the outer part of the door and the screws replaced. Bought and installed new hinges. Repair took about an hour but I also cleaned all the glass inside and out on both oven doors. I had ordered extra screws as I read the old ones that hold the hinges were hard to get in as they were self taping but the screw labeled 5 next to the hinge were not the right ones. All old screws worked fine. You just need to put a little power to them to get them started. Easy repair. Read more

The removal of the ice bin and auger motor was easy but removing the auger from the shaft was another story. The auger was frozen to the shaft even after it sat out overnight. I carefully applied heat with a propane torch, directly on joint of the auger and the tip of the shaft, followed by a few drops of cold water. Once the shaft and auger cooled the auger separated easily. Putting the components back together was simple taking about ten more minutes. Read more

I previously ordered the heating element, thermostat, and fuse. Also the rear drum rollers. However, after completing that repair I noticed that the terminal block and power cord had some damage from an apparent overheating while allowing the dryer to continue to run in order to dry the clothes.
