My problem started with a rusting condition in the ice bin that spiraled out of hand. I took apart the ice bin and all the hardware thinking I could clean it with the suggested baking powder. Plastic parts cleaned up like new, metal parts were pitted. I wire brushed and sanded the parts put it all back together and gave it a try. When we inspected the first time we found that Plactic had broken from the spiral part that for wards the ice. Also there were cracks in two places of other parts. There was a hole in the bottom of the bin. The new spiral was assembled and two new parts were replaced with help from the video and the diagram and the unit worked well. Took the broken bin out and put the new bin in. all of maybe two minutes. Read more

I ordered a complete new bin with everything in it attached already. All I had to do was wash it and set it in the compartment on freezer door. Within a couple hours, I had ice again. Easy fix. Read more
