1. I ordered a new burner. It didn't fix it. 2. I ordered a new burner switch. It didn't fix it. But still needed to be replaced because I cold see itt had burned out. 3. After checking, I narrowed the scope to the evaporator fan and the main control board. I replaced the fan and still had the same issue, then I moved to the main board and that resolved my issue. It was a very easy job. Read more

First, I will never, ever make the mistake of unscrewing anything on an appliance while it is still connected to power - what started as a cosmetic fix on the freezer door ended up costing me $340 to fix after I shorted out one of the boards for the dispenser. I was told by the person who took my order that I could find an instruction video on you tube . So I went there and follow those instructions. The repair went well although I did have a slight problem with the door latch and the soap dispenser lever. They both fell out as I was trying to install the timer, but I went back to the video and although it didn't show how to replace these two parts I was able to see how they were placed and was able to figure it out from there. Looked it up on you tube found two possible problems, eliminated oven sensor, left only mother board, replaced, very simple procedure, all working well now. Read more

I did a little research on the internet. I check to make sure it was getting power with Ohm meter. I took the front panel off to see what I could find. I found 2 dead roaches in the control board box and there was some brown stuff on the control board. I checked the price to replace the part online and local. AppliancePartsPros had the best price and return policy. I figured I had nothing to lose be trying the part out to see if it would work. I installed the new board and it was alive again....
