Fix a dishwasher that won't spray or clean dishes. This circulation pump and motor assembly restores water flow. Moderate DIY repair, 1-2 hours.
It was a learning experience. First I turned off the power! I removed the lower kick plate, disconnected the drain hose and electrical connectors. Then removed the discharge pump and heat sensor then loosened the 4 hold down arms/clamps. Then I opened the door and pulled the base up from the inside. Now to remove and replace the Pump Motor. Then reverse the process. If I were to do again, I'd pull the dishwasher out and lay it on its back. Read more

As a homeowner, I love that I can just type my model number into Appliance Parts Pros website and find a listing/diagram of the entire unit. So when my dispenser on my dishwasher broke, I just ordered a new one. I use You Tube to watch videos on the specific repair, and then VOILA! I do the repair myself, saving at least a hundred dollars in a repair persons service call charge! While this repair was for my dishwasher, I've also fixed my washing machine, dryer, and steam humidifier. Read more
Dishwasher won't power on or display lights? This thermal fuse kit protects against overheating. Easy 10-minute DIY fix with video instructions.
I first verified the house panel circuit breaker was not tripped. It wasn't so I removed the bottom kick plate of the unit, using a circuit cricket I verified the power feed to the unit was live. The bottom kick plate had a trouble shooting guide in a plastic sleeve which I opened and reviewed. Based on information in there it appeared the TOC was likely the issue. (We recently lost power and used a stand by generator. Previously when we did the the dishwasher had a blinking LED on the... Read more
Seals filter housing to prevent leaks and maintain proper water flow in your washer. Replace if missing, cracked, or causing leaks. Verify fit by model.
I had previously replaced the pump about 1 year ago. That was not the problem. Still leaked the same way - intermittently, but always in the center of the washer onto the floor. None of the hoses were leaking - no evidence of corrosion or water mineral residue at any of the hose fittings. So, it must have been something else. I studied the parts diagram for the washer tub assembly and concluded the source of the leak almost had to be the outer tub's Centerpost Gasket. It was really the... Read more
Replace your cracked, rusted, or broken dishwasher tine row. This adjustable row installs in the upper or lower rack for flexible dish loading.
Order parts and replace. When removing attachments, do them one at a time and install them on new rack as you go. Watch for the small release tabs on the attachments (baskets, rollers and tine holders), "gently" put pressure to release; remember these units have been in hot water and they are brittle. Read more
Replacement right adjuster housing for dishwasher upper rack. Holds and supports the right side height adjustment mechanism. Replace if cracked or worn.
I bumped into my KitchenAid dishwasher and the upper rack adjuster cracked. There was already a crack on the notch of the housing where the handle (lever) sits. In addition, the positioner popped out and I couldn't find it. So, I bought the three parts from AppliancePartsPros online. It arrived in about a week. The repair was fairly simple, but it still took about 45 minutes because I didn't want to crack the assemblies. For the housing, use a small slotted screwdriver to carefully... Read more
