The first thing I did was call appliance pros. The tec told me it was a good chance it was the thermostat. He told how to test it with my ohm meter and what range it should be in. When I removed the cabinet, all of the springs appeared in tact, I had already replaced the counter balance spring so I knew that was not the issue. None of the suspension springs or brackets were broken but they did look worn/rusty so I replaced all of the brackets (2 in front and 1 large in back), all of the suspension spring retainers, and all of the suspension springs and it fixed the issue! When I removed check valve to inspect it I've found out that the round part of the valve was missing so I figured it might've blocked the water exit at drain hose or something like that. While the repair video is excellent, I could not remove the ice/water dispenser front panel with a putty knife. The only problem was that my existing wiring harness was affixed to the inside of my refrigerator, whereas in the video, the existing cord was shown as readily disconnectable, so I was unsure how to proceed. A bit of research on the internet indicated the most likely problem was with the defrost system. I found the service manual for the refrigerator and was able to determine that the defrost heater and thermostat passed the self test.
