APPs stellar videos got me started with confidence. Your parts diagram exactly match mine for my 28 year old Sears Kenmore Gas Model 110-97588210 (75882). Teacher at TMM Appliance convinced me to approach from the simpler, cheaper, easier to access parts inwards using the wiring diagram. SSVD48600Pon finally popped the control panel loose from the top of the stove. Took some manipulation as the stove is more than 20 yrs. old With a screwdriver finally popped the switch loose. Applied the new switch. Popped the top back to the control panel. Put the screws back in and everything was back to normal. Read more

Trial and error only cooktop unit. Everything mounted into the counter and needed to pull unit out. I figured it was a control switch or the burner itself. Based on costs, I took the less expensive route and replaced the 2 known malfunctioning switches. All on-line videos said it was a 2-3 hour process to replace. I found that turning the water level switch back and forth would activate the machine So I replaced the water level switch and the plastic hose that connected to it. I purchased a clamp in the purchase, but it was the wrong size! There wasn't a clamp used in the original set up, so I installed the switch and hose without it! Went on line to find the part number. Once I had the number I searched for the part. Found it, had it shipped overnight and installed it with the help of a video from youtube. Read more

I replaced both the element and the switch. It was a relatively easy fix, although I needed a second set of hands to hold the stovetop upright while I did the replacement. The entire job took about 45-60 minutes. Read more

Ordered a new switch (4456027) from you. You seemed to have the best price and guaranteed that it was a OEM part -not everybody did. I had repaired Jenn Air cook tops before so I thought this was not a problem. Wrong. Mostly it was my own stupidity. I exchanged the wires from the old switch to the new one at a time but did write down where the original wires went. Flipped the breakers back on. Only one heater got hot. Removed rocker switch,made up jumper so the compactor could be used while awaiting replacement switch. The part came 2 days later and was installed in less tha 5 minutes. Unit working like new again. Thanks for the great service!! Read more
