Lg Valve

The hot inlet valve was dripping water, replaced it. Water and soap were coming out of the vent pipe. The new Float assembly had a shorter shaft than the old Float Assembly I was replacing. I did install the new Float Assembly and cleaned the vent hose where the float seats and I haven't seen any more water on the floor. Both repairs were made easy by watching your repair videos. 1. I unplugged the washer from outlet 2. I turned off the hot and cold water taps going to the washer (both just in case) 3. Draped a towel over back edge of washer and under where hoses coming from water outlets attach to back of washer (to catch any loose water out of the hose or screw nozzle leading to valve assembly, then unscrew (by hand) the cold water hose from back of washer (leave hot water hose alone as not needed). 4. So all of a sudden the dishwasher stops working, "0E error"on the panel. Did some google searches and found that it might be the filter, which I did not know needed to be changed, or worse, the motor. Took the filter off per online tutorial (easy) and mopped up all the stagnant water. Poking around, I find the small rubber check valve that has broken. Had to fish it out with tweezers. I bought a new controller first and installed it. The exact replacement controller was no longer available and I had to modify two AC connectors that changed from 3 pins with two wires to two pins with two wires. This was not expected but I made it work just fine by getting the three pin connectors on the cable to fit the two pin by breaking out the center web in the board two pin and then shaving off the raised key plastic on the wires. I first replaced the drain hose, as this seemed to be a common problem with LG. The washer continued to leak, I then noticed it was leaking from the valve assembly, inlet. It took 10 minutes and now the washer works fine with no evidence of water. Read more

First determined drain discharge hose was clear. Turned of power to dishwasher. I did not find it necessary to remove the dishwasher. I simply removed the lower service panel at the floor and was able to easily remove the defective pump, unplug it, replace the small rubber check valve flapper before the pump inlet and reinstall the new pump assembly. Googled the error and found out it was probably the fill valve/solenoid. My water meter is a smart meter and was tripped after doing only one load of laundry one day. So that with the FE error I knew it was time to but more parts for this washer. Swapped out the valve and its back to running normal. I have unfortunately replaced about everything on this washer and it's dryer mate. But Appliance Parts Pros always has the items I need at the best prices! Read more

I ordered both the hot and cold water inlet valves because I wasn't sure which one may have been faulty. I installed them exactly the way the on line video showed, tested them and reinstalled the top of the washer. Checked several days and have found no sign of water. This was such an easy fix!
