Maytag Motor

We watched the videos posted on AppliancePartsPros.com website several times before starting the work. I watched the video at your website. I unplugged the electric first. When I opened up the machine up, It was loaded with lint.I found the source was a hole in the vent tube outside the machine. I fixed that first . The lint had been sucked back into the machine. The first half hour was spent vacuuming out all the lint and then I could proceeded with the motor change. Originally thought it was the evap fan motor, possibly the control board. Turns out it was the latter but only way to know for sure was to replace fan first. Shipping was fast and the parts were good. Read more

Replaced the motor with a direct replacement part. The wiring was not the same because the switch on the motor was different. The instructions that came with the motor were enough for me to figure out what to do. Read more

After tossing a couple for refrigerators to clean the storage area - we had one good one left taken from an apartment where the resident bought a newer-bigger one. Once you tilt the washer and prop it against something it's a pretty straight forward and easy fix. If you watch the instructional "How-to" video beforehand, the repair should take between 30 to 60 minutes. It all depends on your skill level and if everything goes smoothly. The evaporator fan had stopped working and caused the entire area around it to ice up. No air flow was getting from the freezer to the fridge. I replaced the damper control (it was rusted, not sure if it was workign or not) and the evaporator fan. It was a very quick repair once I diagnosed the problem. The fan blade had vibrated down the shaft of motor and was hitting the fan supports. I replaced motor and new fan blade. The motor was still operating but since I had everything opened up I changed out the motor anyway. Freezer working fine now. The only unforeseen problem is there was a black wire that had to be transferred to the three prong wiring harness. Read more

Replaced all damaged parts, rear drum rollers, front drum 'bearings', felt seal infront of drum, idler pulley and arm. Lastly replaced motor. Hopefully will work for another 11 years?? Videos were awesome, telephone assistance was great as welll. Thank you. Read more

The auger would not turn the dispenser because the screw threads were stripped. I could not re-thread it so I had to replace the entire motor assembly. The video your company provided was extremely helpful not only for fixing the problem but to give me the confidence to do it myself. It was relatively easy to replace it. Some suggestions: 1. Make a platform to support the oven when you slide it out of the cabinet. Make the platform sturdy because this thing is heavy. Make the platform the same height as the cabinet so that you can just slide it out and back in without having to lift it. 2.
