Used U-Tube diagnostic clips to diagnose that most likely problem was a worn Evaporator Fan Motor which is located in the freezer back wall, located in the top third of the unit. I removed 6 hex head screws from the freezer's interior back panel that covers the evaporator coils. The cover is located in the lower 2/3s of the back wall. Removed all shelving. If the freezer is cold and the fridge is hot, logic would indicate that the fan blowing the cold air from the freezer into the refrigerator is not working. Searched the ApplicancePartsPros.com website for a fan in the freezer compartment and found the video on how to replace one. Followed the steps in the video to get the freezer partially disassembled and found the whole back of the freezer frozen over. • Freezer section too warm

The fan has a very thin wire in it's coil, and when that wire breaks, you need a new fan. In a previous repair, i noticed that an ice build-up had dislodged the wiring on my fan and severed the coil winding. I was able to undo the winding a couple of turns and get it working again. Saw a video on line. Looked fairly easy to replace, but there were quite a few steps. I followed the video step for step and had the motor out in less than an hour. Tested motor with an electrical tester, just to be sure that was the problem. I ordered the motor from Appliance Parts Pros on a Sunday evening. The motor was at my doorstep Tuesday morning. Removed the back cover to access the fan area. Clean the area with brush and vac first. Unplugged the Refrigerator. Used a socket set with 1/4" socket. Had an extended and a standard socket. Removed the condensate plastic drain from the bottom of the refrigerator to have more access to the fan. Unplugged the fan motor. Removed the two screws holding the fan in place. I bought the listed condenser fan motor for my Maytag refrigerator. Access to the condenser fan is by removing sheet metal screws of bottom panel with 1/4 in. nut driver. Condenser fan is on left side of rear access area. Remove electrical connector by pressing-in connector release tab with thumb fingernail and pulling on connector. My KitchenAid refrigerator was not cooling, but the freezer was working perfectly. The repair went well. Never made this type of repair before. Took me around 90 minutes to complete. The worst part was winging it on how to disassemble the bottom drawers. On my Kenmore Elite, it has three freezer compartment sliding trays. The other difficult part for me was removing the clipped in part on the back of the freezer panel. First, I did online research to find out what could be the problem with these symptoms of cold freezer and warm fridge. I received my new part in about 3-4 days. Part was exact match for my existing motor. After watching the installation video on this website I was able to garner the rudimentary directions to replace the motor. The video did not match the exact fridge I had. • Burning smell

The washer was on, and I heard a faint humming sound in the laundry room. I went in and opened the washer and it was full of soapy water in the middle of its cycle and was not agitating. Ordered the new fan (blower) from AppliancePartsPros. It arrived 3 days later. Pulled the wall oven out of the wall, removed the sheet metal back and removed the noisy fan. Installed the new fan, reinstalled the sheet metal back, shoved it back into it's place, turned the power back on and viola!, much quieter. Read more

Unplugged power cord, shut off hot and cold water valves, and disconnected hot and cold water lines. I taped the lid closed and laid washer down on its front panel to access motor parts underneath. Removed center screw (allen wrench) and then removed large, round, plastic rotor (had to use some force with fingers behind it to get it off). After checking the suggested fixes and parts on Appliance Parts Pros, I ordered the defrost thermostat and evap motor for my refrigerator, a Kitchen Aid KSSC42QTS00. Installation was very easy, simply emptying the freezer and removing the access panel in the back bottom half. Upon getting everything open, I found out that the existing evap motor was working fine, so I didn't install that part. I did install the defrost thermometer, which was a 5-minute process.
