This replacement surface element restores proper heating on an electric range or cooktop's top burner. When the original element is open, weak, or damaged, it helps the selected cooking zone reach temperature and heat more evenly.

- Replaces an element that is open, shorted, or physically damaged
- Common symptoms: surface burner won't heat, heats intermittently, heats very slowly, or shows uneven temperatures
- Works with existing controls to maintain set heat levels
Includes: 1 surface heating element Install notes:
- Disconnect power at the breaker or unplug the appliance; allow the cooktop to cool completely
- Access the element per your model's service procedure (often by lifting the top or accessing from beneath the cooktop)
- Transfer wires one at a time to the matching terminals; secure the element and any brackets as originally installed
- Inspect connectors/wiring for heat damage and address as needed before restoring power and testing

It's was easy to replace. Unplugged the oven from the wall, unscrew the two screws that hold the element to the back of the oven and pulled it away from the oven. Then just pull off the two wires at the end of the bake element. Install the new one in the revers order, easy.

Very simple to fix this problem and took only a few minutes. Appliance Parts Pros has the best delivery service. I ordered the part about 2pm and the part was delivered at 11am the next morning. Easy. Pulled the two screws that hold the top in place. Then lift the top and slide it forward 4 inches. Reach in and disconnect the two wiring harnesses (Squeeze the sides to release). Lift the entire top off and place it upside down on the table. Remove the four screws that hold the metal panel to the top. Flip this panel upside down.
