Washer Hose Or Tube

Opened the back of machine and saw that a mouse had eaten holes in all but one of the rubber hoses. Took the top off the machine for better access. Unplug from electric socket. Pulled the washer away from the wall. Have a container ready to catch any water remaining in the hose. Remove the hose from the drain in the wall and drain into container. Unsnapped the hose from the guide on the back side of the washer and removed the plastic piece around the hose on the outside of the case where the hose enters the inside of the case. Watched u tube video. Ordered replacement water inlet valve and new hoses. Dismantled washer and replaced defective valve and installed new hoses. The repair went very easily and the washer worked perfectly as a result. Read more

I had a problem with the drain pump on my Kenmore HE3 and I replaced it using a drain pump I ordered from APP. That fixed that problem but once I started running the washer I started getting a FH error code. I looked it up and found that it was a problem with the washer not filling properly. Here's the story. All my appliances except the dryer broke. Yeah. talk about bad luck. First I tried to fix the refrigerator. Replaced both motherboard and inverter board. Now it wakes up but the compressor does not kick in. Need another part. The washer, well I have to pull out the sink to get enough room to pull out the washer to fix it. Ordered a new drain hose and extension part. The prices including shipping were more reasonable than driving back and forth to the store just to piece meal parts together. Very frustrating. I ordered the parts that were specific to our washing machine, it took maybe 5 minutes to install, and everything fit perfectly. Now we're washing again and no leaks! Read more

- Didn't see any other leaks in machine. No grinding transmission noise. Assumed seal on transmission shaft was bad, since it was a central leak down the rotor. It was a little more difficult to dissemble than the video showed, but not too bad. Got it all back together and seems to be working well. No leaks yet. Didn't need washer in parts diagram - was already on the transmission. Also the drain pump filter was not necessary, it can just be cleaned. Read more

Purchased the WPL 40922 hose kit. This kit is reasonably priced and has everything you might need to retrofit to most legacy Whirlpool brand washers. The fix went well and I also cleared the water solids build-up on the fill nozzle at the inlet to the wash tub. Read more
