I first felt along each heating element (bake and broil) hoping to find a rough or blistered place on them. But they were both smooth with no irregular places. (replacing the elements would have been the easiest and cheapest repair. Pulled the back off the range (unplugged, of course) - checked wiring. There were no loose connections or burned wiring. Fixed it by replacing the electronic control board. Only 30 min. to fix. (See further down for effort to diagnose the problem.) Most of this "fixing time" was spent removing the control panel to access the control board that is attached to it. My freezer has the control panel located in the top center of the door. Turned off the power. Pulled out the stove. Removed back of upper part of stove. Removed old control board. Took photos with phone to make sure I got wires back on correctly. Only 1 wire was difficult to remove and required gentle rocking with pliers. Put the overlay on the new board. Placed all the clips and wires back on the new board. Turned on power to test. The glue behind the keypad loosened and the keypad slowly began slipping down out of place over several months. Finally, because of the movement, it warped which resulted in one of the keys being stuck. That is what gave the F12 error code. The fix was easy. I installed a new clock timer and overlay the job took only a few minutes and a very easy repair. Useful hint take a picture of your clock timer before you start to make sure all your wires are put back in the right order . Charles B Lafayette Tn Read more

Replacing the Module Dispenser did the trick! The trim cover around the ice dispenser is attached with plastic tabs (no screws at all). I pried it off as gently as I could with a butter knife, but several of the tabs broke off so I ended up purchasing another cover module (trim piece) as well. Tried to replace the temperature probe first without testing with ohm meter; decided to take a chance. I then ordered the EOC timer/oven control. Now works great and also gained the seconds timer along with minute timer that was not stock with the first timer. Happy man; didn't have to pay the labor to install the parts, the videos gave me the confidence that I could complete the repair. Read more
