Bought new wheel and the are easy to replace. Found why the brok and did a quick fix so it wont happen again. As the wheels age one will pull off then they all get weak and the rack will come off the track, To prevent this. you can put a plastic tie so the wheels cant fall off in the first place, The disign holds them in place with pressure from the plastic but the plastic ages and gets weak. A tie would have to actually break before the wheel can fall off. Read more

After reading through a few forums, I narrowed the problem down to one of 3 issues, the door latch, the switch assembly (control panel), or main control board. One tricky part was the motor because the new motor comes with integral starter and it was necessary to cut off existing female spade connectors on some wires and crimp on new connectors. While this is a Whirlpool dishwasher, I have the Kenmore Elite version of it. I believe them to be identical for parts. A little background: The first symptom I had of problems was plastic bits from the ball bearing retainer strips in the slides falling out. Then ball bearings falling out. • Leaking

Removing the bottom panel and watching the internals while the washer was running revealed a small drip from what appeared to be a plastic cam that was attached to a solenoid. The water was dripping from the shaft the cam attached to down into the solenoid. Being a DIY guy I pulled the washer out, turned it upside down and inspected the effected mechanism. Checked out You tube video. Easy tune up. One gasket was damaged and I did not notice that the brush holders has no brushes. I believe a quick call to Appliance parts pros will fix this, besides I need a few more parts. I expect to get another 20+ years from this KitchenAide mixer, once repairs are competed. Found the end of the right-side Door Spring that connects to the Door Cable broke off and the plastic end of the Door Cable that connects to the Door Spring was also broken off. Ordered a replacement Door Spring 154579101 and Door Cable 154578801 from AppliancePartsPros.com When the parts arrived a few days later, I watched the video on the AppliancePartsPros. I had to remove the dishwasher about 6 inches then remove the door springs and remove the door. Next was to open the cover to reach the circuit board and remove it. The new board was put in and attached the plug. and put the door back together and reinstall the door and springs. Turned the power to check that the lights came on. I had previously disassemble the pump assembly to find what I at first thought was an oddly shaped spring, which it was. What I learned by researching the parts was that the spring's odd shape was a result of something having gotten caught in the pump and jamming the impeller. After ordering the parts, I watched the "repair video" a few time and proceeded to remove and replaced the affected parts. The symptom was suds and water on the floor at the left front of the dishwasher within the first five minutes of operation. Examination of the seal inside the door showed it was warped and pushed up into the door out of place. Once disassembled we found a tear in the seal, severe warping, and the material was sticky and slimy rather than flexible. I found a video of the disassembly that was very helpful. I very seldom respond to requests for feedback like this but definitely feel moved to do so in this case. When our 8 year old dishwasher started acting up my initial reaction was to simply replace it. • Will not drain

It is very simple to fix. All the blogs recommend replacement of this part but do not explain why. This is a normally open check valve that permits the water from inside the dishwasher to drain out, either once it gets too high or just general splash. When the machine drains the pump comes on and the check valve closes. If the check valve is damaged or worn (like mine was) some of the water can pump back into the machine.
