Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Leaking dishwasher lower door seal. Bosch ap4359774 (00669221)   Cliff M. • Evans , GA • March 31, 2022

The symptom was suds and water on the floor at the left front of the dishwasher within the first five minutes of operation. Examination of the seal inside the door showed it was warped and pushed up into the door out of place. Once disassembled we found a tear in the seal, severe warping, and the material was sticky and slimy rather than flexible. I found a video of the disassembly that was very helpful. It is necessary to pull the dishwasher out of the cabinet but my installation had no top... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You My old door latch was not making a consistent connection the diswaher wouldd stop mid cycle and you had to jiggle it to get it to finish   William K. • Gettysburg , PA • August 22, 2014

I turned off the power then removed the six or so screws from the back of the top panel. I marked the two front wires on the latch with tape so I would not get them confused. I removed the two screws holding the latch on--these take a six pointed star bit on the screw driver--the bit is in most screw driver sets with interchangeable heads. I then connected the wires to the new latach and put everything back together. The whole process took between ten and fifteen minutes. Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Dishwasher dreaked out during drying cycle flashed "er" on screen   Jonathan F. • Walker , MI • June 12, 2014

Just removed from front and the console. I wound up replacing the control board because the technician that I had come out said that's what was wrong and it would cost $250 to fix. I replaced the control board and it didn't fix the problem. After doing more research and searching out the error codes, I discovered I had to replace the console. so i did. I was able to return this control board and buy the console. That return policy was fantastic. I was so worried I was going to have to eat the... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Plastic upper dishwasher wheel assembly had dried out and became useless   Dennis M. • Cheshire , CT • July 13, 2014

I watched a video on how to change these. I had ordered one a month ago because one had failed. I had no trouble --less than 30 seconds -- to insert a new for the bad one. Then a few weeks later, a 2nd one failed -- there are 4 of them -- and I figured that I might as well change out the bad one as well as the two "good" original ones. Total time to change out the 3 was less than two minutes and that included getting the rack completely out of the dishwasher...which you have to do in... Read more

This was not my first rodeo have repaired our appliances and those of our daughters for years, have ordered parts from this site several times. We had a cold spell in Texas, as you may have heard. Diverter Motor Assembly
Genuine Lg part
By: Lg
Part Number: 4681ED3001D

The Diverter Motor Assembly is an OEM part for LG dishwashers. It is a critical component used to control the direction of water flow within the dishwasher, ensuring that water is properly diverted between the different spray arms during various wash cycles.

Symptoms of a failing Diverter Motor Assembly include:

  • Inadequate cleaning of dishes, with some areas remaining dirty
  • Unusual noises, like humming or clicking, indicating the diverter motor is struggling to operate
  • Error codes displayed on the dishwasher that relate to water distribution problems
  • Water not reaching all spray arms

Causes of a bad diverter motor can include wear and tear from regular use, electrical issues such as faulty wiring or motor failure, and mechanical obstructions or debris that prevent the diverter from moving smoothly.

This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore models.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Ne error code dirty silverware in upper third rack and door broken off soap dispenser.   Nathan M. • St. George , UT • July 27, 2019

I ordered a new vario motor and a soap dispenser. I turned off the water and the breaker, disconnected the water line and the power at the front base of the unit, disconnected the drain hose from the garbage dispenser, and pulled out the dishwasher and laid it on a blanket on its face. I unscrewed and removed the plainly visible vario motor on the bottom of the machine and removed the cam from the shaft. I then used a needle nose plier to carefully turn the D-shaft on the new motor to exactly... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Error code oe each drain cycle would start and stop with faint squealing noises; not fully draining at end of cycle.   Rhyne K. • Jensen Beach , FL • May 16, 2018

First determined drain discharge hose was clear. Turned of power to dishwasher. I did not find it necessary to remove the dishwasher. I simply removed the lower service panel at the floor and was able to easily remove the defective pump, unplug it, replace the small rubber check valve flapper before the pump inlet and reinstall the new pump assembly. Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Dishwasher was not filling up to normal level, hardly any water was coming in   James V. • Annandale , VA • August 31, 2021

First I cleared the food chopper area. There were things there, bits of plastic for instance, but it wasn't the reason for the dishes not getting sprayed off. The dishwasher continued to only partially fill and not circulate the water. I started the dishwasher, let the pump start and then opened the door and filled up the dishwasher manually. It sprayed water as it should, cleaning the top rack quite well. I figured the issue was not the float switch, since some water was coming in. So I... Read more
