Dishwasher Touch Pad

Console Assembly
Genuine Frigidaire part
By: Frigidaire
Part Number: 5304520008

The Console Assembly is an OEM part for Frigidaire dishwashers. It houses the electronic controls, buttons, and touch screen panel which allow users to easily monitor dishwasher cycles and settings. The console assembly is crucial for selecting cleaning options, checking cycle status, and making any adjustments during a wash.

Causes of failure could be due to physical damage, spilled liquids causing corrosion of internal components, or just normal wear over extended use.

Symptoms of a bad console assembly include:

  • No power to control functions or display
  • Faulty or non-functional buttons that do not press
  • Inability to start or stop dishwasher cycles
  • Touch screen no longer detects input selection
  • Error codes appearing without cycle initiation

This OEM Frigidaire part is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator and some Kenmore models.

Took the 6 hex screws out and simply unplugged a couple of wires off the control panel. Called appliance parts pros and gave them the part number that was embossed on part. They had it in stock and shipped it. I received it within 3 days. Plug the wires back into the part and replaced the 6 screws. 10 minutes top to repair. Highly recommend you doing this. Would have cost hundreds more if a professional had done this. Thanks !! Read more

Part Number: WPW10500173

This genuine OEM part is a touchpad control panel assembly for dishwashers. The touchpad control panel assembly is the plastic piece that houses the selection buttons of the dishwasher that control the desired setting of the washer. If the touchpad control panel assembly is no longer responsive to touch, it will need to be replaced. To replace this part, start by turning off the power to the appliance. Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You No lights or response from touchpad   Peter H. • Cohasset , MA • March 01, 2015

Bought the control board/touchpad piece. It is a kitchen aide/whirlpool part. Searched around on the internet and found some videos on how to replace it. It was plug and place once I got it in there. Very happy that I could do it myself. Note: I removed the original piece first and got the part number on it so I made sure that I was getting the correct part (a little confusing because several companies use that touchpad). Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Start button quit working but all others buttons still worked   Kevin C. • Dallas , TX • August 24, 2014

Opened up door panel, unplugged ribbon cable from old keypad and plugged in new keypad without installing just to verify keypad was the problem. Start button on new keypad worked so I then removed old keypad which is basically just like peeling off a sticker. Next step was to remove leftover adhesive using solvent. This was most time consuming step of the repair. Once adhesive was removed I cleaned the mounting surface thoroughly to ensure new keypad would adhere. I then passed ribbon... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You 'start' and 'cancel' buttons (the two on the right) would not light up nor work buttons on the left side did work   Pete H. • Cypress , CA • July 23, 2015

My Maytag dishwasher model # MDB7749AWM2 has a diagnosis routine where you push 'normal wash' then 'heated dry' three times in quick succession. This made the machine cycle through all the functions. This demonstrated to me that all systems functioned. So I came to the conclusion that it was only the lights/buttons that did not work, and I was right. So I ordered a new Panel Control. (I've seen that many more Maytag's use this same part) To replace the Panel Control took 9 minutes. UNPLUG THE... Read more
