Took the 6 hex screws out and simply unplugged a couple of wires off the control panel. Called appliance parts pros and gave them the part number that was embossed on part. They had it in stock and shipped it. I received it within 3 days. Plug the wires back into the part and replaced the 6 screws. 10 minutes top to repair. Highly recommend you doing this. Would have cost hundreds more if a professional had done this. Thanks !! Read more
Membrane switch keypad mounts behind the control panel. Replace if buttons are unresponsive, cracked, worn, or the overlay is peeling or damaged.
Literally took no more than 15 minutes. I unscrewed the back panel of the door, unplugged the old keypad and pealed off the old keypad. I used rubbing alcohol to thoroughly clean the surface where the new keypad would go. Then I slid the new keypad into place and plugged it in. Peal off the adhesive backing and stick the new keypad down, reattach the door panel and you are good to go. Read more

Got on your web site, put in the model number and bingo a list of common problems was displayed. Clicked on the start button problem link and up came the suggested part. Your web site said that you had the part that I needed so next I clicked on the video that demonstrated how to replace the part. Ordered the part and selected next day air delivery. The next day the part arrived before 10:30am. Thirty minutes after opening the box, my GE Monogram Dishwashing was running like a Swiss... Read more
Replaces the front control panel console on your dishwasher. Houses buttons and interface for selecting cycles and options. Needed when cracked or worn.
I replaced the panel, for the third time in about 7 years. its a bit sad that A) kenmore/whirlpool cannot make a control panel that can last longer than 5 years of normal household use, and B) that the panel costs $135 . so that means that the $800 kenmore sits at $1070 in price, due to the two repairs that i have made over the last seven years. this control panel is about 10 or 12 switches, with a 15 pin ribbon cable that connects to the control module. i would rate this as about a $50... Bought the control board/touchpad piece. It is a kitchen aide/whirlpool part. Searched around on the internet and found some videos on how to replace it. It was plug and place once I got it in there. Very happy that I could do it myself. Note: I removed the original piece first and got the part number on it so I made sure that I was getting the correct part (a little confusing because several companies use that touchpad). Needed torque screwdriver Read more

Replace your dishwasher's control panel touch pad if buttons are unresponsive, cracked, or worn. Installs on the door panel for full button functionality.
My Maytag dishwasher model # MDB7749AWM2 has a diagnosis routine where you push 'normal wash' then 'heated dry' three times in quick succession. This made the machine cycle through all the functions. This demonstrated to me that all systems functioned. So I came to the conclusion that it was only the lights/buttons that did not work, and I was right. So I ordered a new Panel Control. (I've seen that many more Maytag's use this same part) To replace the Panel Control took 9 minutes. UNPLUG THE... Read more

Based on feedback found on the internet, I knew it was either the control panel or control board. Ordered both and it turns out I only needed to replace the control panel. Really easy fix. Turned off the power, unscrewed the top 6 screws to open up the control panel. Removed the cover and disconnected the ribbon cable. Took off the latch assembly and control panel by gently pushing in the plastic tabs. Attached the new control panel by snapping everything back in place, reconnecting the... Read more
