The Door Hinge Bearing is an OEM part for Frigidaire refrigerators. It supports the refrigerator door, allowing it to open and close smoothly. This bearing ensures that the door remains properly aligned and operates without excessive friction, contributing to the overall longevity and functionality of the refrigerator.
Over time, door hinge bearings can wear out due to regular use, exposure to weight stress, or lack of lubrication. When the hinge bearing becomes faulty, the refrigerator door may become misaligned, difficult to open or close, or cause unusual noises.
Symptoms of a bad door hinge bearing include:
- The door sagging or becoming misaligned
- Difficulty opening or closing the door
- Unusual squeaking or grinding noises when the door moves
- The door not sealing properly, leading to temperature fluctuations inside the refrigerator
This OEM replacement is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Kenmore models.
This part fixes the following symptoms
-
Door won't open or close

The refrigerator door on my side by side was popping when opened at 90 degrees Oscar T. • Eureka Springs , AR • January 22, 2015
I went to Appliance Parts Pros and watched a few videos. Ordered the door closer plate and door hinge bearing. Removed all of the door bins and contents. Removed four screws total. Lifted the door off of the hinge, replace the two parts on the bottom hinge. Put the door back on the hinge with a little silicone on the new parts. Replaced all of the screws and no more popping. It took more time to clean all of the door bins than to fix the hinge. The video was 100% accurate. No surprises.
