This igniter creates the spark needed to light gas burners on your range cooktop. It generates an electric arc that ignites the gas flow when you turn the burner control knob. My 18+ year old Jennair cooktop, PN CCG2520W was in need of a rebuild b/c of a welded venturi tube on the right front [RF] burner. This is an igniter and bracket assembly, and it is intended for use in dryers. This is a genuine replacement part made by Speed Queen. The igniter is connected to the dryer on the back of the appliance, and it is used to heat the drying tub.
