Our dishwasher quit working again for the 3rd time recently. We researched on You Tube for similar issue, and possible fixes. We had power to the overlay so we ruled out a thermal fuse as most possible problem. Some mode lights would come on when pushed. Tried a self diagnosis test-nothing. Reset circuit breaker-nothing. After doing much research online, I found out that the Touchpad on the JennAir downdraft gas range JGS9900BDS is very prone to "breaking." I ordered a new Panel-Control. The old one was removed easily by taking out six screws. The old panel lifted, then tilted out. The electronic circuit board was disconnected and attached to the new panel. My new panel did not want to fit in properly at first. The bottom of the panel contained two alignment tabs that the old panel did not have. The stainless steel front panel needed to be cut on top under these tabs for the control panel to properly seat. The replacement part was: CONTROL OVEN ERC3HP Part Number:WB27K10378 It looks like this superseded the original part, so maybe the mfg knew about this issue? I could not find disassembly instructions so just went straight into it. Here's the steps from memory: 1) Shut off breaker for stove and confirm that panel lights go off 2) Pull range away from wall about 12" 3) Shut off gas feed to stove 4) From the back of the range, remove the two hex washer head screw holding the in place 5)... I took of the backsplash and took the hose off of the pressure switch and accidently broke off the stem of the pressure switch and the catch parts of the pressure switch. I put some Krud Cutter into the pressure switch hose and blew into it until I got air to flow. I stopped the tub from over flowing and replace the pressure switch and backsplash. Read more
