This motor and pulley kit replaces a dryer's failed drive motor and pulley assembly to restore drum rotation and normal drying performance. Designed as a direct-fit service kit for compatible GE dryers. What it does:
Replaced the motor. This unit requires that you take it apart from the front and the motor bracket comes out a a unit. Be careful when replacing it that the back of the idler arm is in the motor bracket properly, otherwise you will not be able to tension the belt. I also replaced the belt just as a precaution.
