Washer won't agitate or spin? A worn stator prevents the motor from generating the magnetic field needed to operate. Moderate DIY repair, about 2 hours.
Took the back cover off, noticed the bolt holding the rotor on was broke off in the shaft which wore the stator and rotor. So I drilled out the broken bolt and extracted it with an easy out and replaced the stator the rotor and the bolt. Works great ! I maybe had 2 hours time in it and that includes taking it out of the laundry room and into the garage to work on it and back. Read more
