There was a loud noise from my washer during the drain cycle. (The washer seemed to drain just fine.) It was pretty easy to determine that the noise was coming from the drain pump. (Which for my washer is behind the front lower inspection panel on the right side front.) I called a repair guy who came out to specifically replace the suspension rods because I read that if you push down on the tub and it bounces around, then the rods have worn out. After running the diagnostics, the repair guy tried to tell me it was because the lid was not locking correctly! After expressing concern that this makes no sense, he continued taking things apart and noticed the agitator rollers were all broken and told me this is probably causing the tub to be unbalanced. The receptacle that held the burner element in place was broken so the burner would not make a connection and heat up. I ordered the receptacle kit. There was even an online video that showed how to make the repair. It just took a screwdriver and wire cutters and about 15 minutes and the job was done. The burner works great. Read more

Looked up parts based on fridge model number, watched videos, and replaced parts using just a few tools... easy. Parts came quick, well packaged. After 16 years, plastic parts deteriorate and break. The fridge was operating fine, but the drawers and covers were failing. Much cheaper to replace a few parts ($$-$$$) than buy a new fridge ($$$$). The new parts matched up exactly to old ones. The fix was very easy. Control assembly is easy to access by removing 5 phillips screws. Unplug the wiring from the old assembly being careful to note which wire goes to which connector. Install the new assembly and connect the wiring. Read more

The drain tube for for the defrost cycle seemed to be blocked, so I googled the repair & it sent me to AppliancePartsPros. Obviously, there's a design problem with this model since many other people have the same issue. This tube is an upgrade on the original for my KitchenAid model (design flaw). I have a 12 year old Kenmore Elite washer. One day, suddenly, I heard a grinding noise and the washer abruptly stopped. I called a repair service and was told it could be the bearings in the drum of this front-load washer, or it could be the washer's drain pump, which automatically shuts down when the drain pump fails. I had previously replaced the pump about 1 year ago. That was not the problem. Still leaked the same way - intermittently, but always in the center of the washer onto the floor.
