Dishwasher Control Board

When I ordered the control board the young lady told me that I had to take the front off the dishwasher. I did exactly as she said and started to put the new control board on. I could not unplug from the old one and finally my son came by and did that. I then put everything back together and turned it on. IT WORKED. Thank you. First diagnosed the problem by viewing several Youtube videos. Then ordered the part from AppliancePartsPros. After the part arrived I again referenced the best video - several times - and finally made the repair swapping out bad mother board with the new one from AppliancePartsPros. Saved me hundreds. I initially purchased a door switch, thinking that it would solve the problem. I replaced the switch by removing the top 6 star screws, removing the component cover and removing one of the door switches (using a 3/16 socket) with the new one that I bought but I still had the problem. Looking at the schematic, the next part that needed to be changed is the electronic control board, which I purchased. 1. Turn off the electricity to the dishwasher 2. Unscrew all of the screws on the inside of the dishwasher door. 3. Take off the door and put it aside 4. Loosen the panel that contains the control board, control panel and the door lock mechanism 5. Using a screw driver, push in the small moveable tab in the center of the plastic clip that is holding the control board to the plastic panel. 6.
