This is the electronic phase control board that regulates the motor speed in a stand mixer. It adjusts power delivery to the motor based on the speed setting selected by the user. Replace this board if the mixer runs at only one speed, does not respond to speed adjustments, intermittently stops during operation, or fails to turn on entirely.
I replaced the Board-Phas and speed control plate since power was not making it to the motor. When I received the speed control plate it had nuts on the upper screws with springs, since my old one didn't have nuts I assumed that the nuts were to keep the springs on until installed. Turn off power to machine, Take off door panel - 12 screws. hold up door panel a bit and make sure to remove the ribbon from the touch pad to the control module (use some pliers to rock it out of the board). Since I was changing the Module, I just removed the 1 screw that held it in place and it gave me some more room to get my hands in there and remove all the wiring freeing up the board to remove the touch pad ribbon last (I didn't want to tear it because I was not replacing it and after 9...
