This filter just captured all the junk in the bottom of my LG dishwasher. There is no cleaning or servicing this thing. You need to replace it. There is NO NEED to pull out the dishwasher. All can be done through the door. Remove the racks. Remove the rotating arm on the bottom (2 screws under the arm). Had to remove the door from the main body of the dishwasher and then take the outer door apart from the inner door. Find a good video that showed how to do this but it was not exactly like the model of GE dishwasher that I have. Once you know how to remove the panel it went fairly quick. But in removing the inner door I broke the one end of Attach Strip Rh so I order a new one plus in taking the Graphics Asm apart to get to the UI board the small tab that holds everything together broke off. I replaced the filter cartridge that is located underneath the lower spray arm. The original filter cartridge had become completely blinded off, the filter media is a very fine mesh nylon fabric and it gets clogged up eventually with hard water scale and other non-soluble materials (including dishwasher detergent). Ordered a replacement part off another site that came in with an incorrect molded connection to the Spray Arm. The part broke my tabs on the Spray Arm and instead I bought both parts from this site. Both items were correct and resolved the issue. Read more

Ran diagnostics 5 times to make sure I get the same error code and then called Appliance Parts Pros to order the washer pump. They informed me they had the pump assembly that has multiple parts on the unit and it was cost effective to order the assembly. I ordered the assembly and after a long back order time received the part. I purchased the service manual and was using that as a guide, then found a real nice you tube link to replace the assembly made by Appliance Parts Pros. This is the link... Read more

I watched the repair video and ordered the part ( I luckily ordered two links). The video was not exactly for my model dishwasher but I did follow the instruction for removal from the cabinet. Since my model was not shown, I was looking to see how the door spring and the Hinge Arm Link was supposed to be set up. Two years ago replaced all four roller assemblies of affected side. Problem recently reoccured on the opposite side. Replaced all four roller assemblies on that side. Entire repair took about twenty minutes. Read more

First unplug or turn off the electrical breaker to the dishwasher. Then I removed the phillips head screws holding the inner door to the outer door panel. I then removed the hex head screws holding the dispenser assembly. The electrical connection needs to be disconnected and then reverse the procedure to install the new dispenser. Restore power to the dishwasher and your done. Read more

I easily found the replacement part on the Appliance Parts Pros website and ordered (2), one for each end of the handle and yes it is the same part for either side. They showed up a few days later. I had seen a video of how to expose the handle screws behinf the door face. I backed out the appropriate (6) Torx screws and the front of the dishwasher door came right off exposing the handle screws. Found the end of the right-side Door Spring that connects to the Door Cable broke off and the plastic end of the Door Cable that connects to the Door Spring was also broken off. Ordered a replacement Door Spring 154579101 and Door Cable 154578801 from AppliancePartsPros.com When the parts arrived a few days later, I watched the video on the AppliancePartsPros.
