The Main Power Control Board is an OEM replacement part for Frigidaire refrigerators. It is the central processing unit that controls all electrical functions and components within the refrigerator. The board receives input signals, processes them, and sends output signals to regulate temperature, monitor sensors, power accessories, and run diagnostics.
Symptoms of a bad main power control board include:
- Fluctuating or inconsistent temperatures
- Components not functioning properly
- Error codes appearing
- Intermittent or complete power failures
Causes of failure can include moisture damage, power surges, component degradation over time, or physical damage.
This OEM Frigidaire replacement is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Kenmore models.

0f 0f was on the display nothing worked Mitch B. • Layton , UT • August 15, 2015
Since no known error code was on the display I figured it must be the control board. After getting through a fiasco with another website, I ordered the part from AppliancePartsPros.com. The control board is located under the freezer and comes out if you remove 1 self-tapping screw. There was no way to tell if the board was dead, but once we got the new one, we connected all the connectors, plugged in the fridge and viola! it worked again.
