The new gasket arrived in a box half the size of the gasket so the gasket was folded to fit into the box. I hung the new gasket up for a couple of hours and then just prior to installation used a hair dryer as per included instructions to soften the gasket and minimize minor wrinkles in the gasket. The old gasket came out easily and the new went in easily. A 5 minute job in total. Read more

I removed the oven door, removed all screws, detached the front from the rear, carefully took out broken glass, replaced with new (smaller sized than original, but worked), reattached front and rear panels, replaced screws, and replaced door to finish. Read more

The gasket on my freezer door was not holding the door closes. When the main door closed, the pressure which shifts to the freezer was popping the door open and it was not closing because the magnet had lost its' mojo. I watched the video for the replacement of the gasket on the freezer door and my experience was exactly the same. After checking the suggested fixes and parts on Appliance Parts Pros, I ordered the defrost thermostat and evap motor for my refrigerator, a Kitchen Aid KSSC42QTS00. First, I just unscrewed all nuts that are holding the frame and all surface elements. Once all parts, surface elements, control switches, are loose from the original glass, I just moved all parts to the new glass. I replaced the water filter housing assembly. It was simple to do since your site provided the how-to video. The only snag I ran into was that I had a hard time re-positioning the foam brace under the filter. The space is tight. Would have been easier if I had smaller hands.
