Turn off breaker, remove all screws { 4 on mine } inside oven door holding oven and microwave to kitchen cabinet and slide oven assembly out of cabinet {on to a temporary shelf of {4} 5 gallon buckets/plywood/bricks/shims that I made on the floor atop a scrap of carpet} just enough to access the side and rear screws of microwave's protective metal housing, then remove a total of 16 screws { there were 2 screws just inside top of "opened" microwave door that were holding top flat silver metal... 1) Ordered part. 2) Removed front panel by loosening the two screws at the bottom front. 3) Removed old Safety Switch/Lid Lock by disconnecting wires (plug and 2 female disconnects) 4) Reconnected all wires and reinstalled switch. 5) Replaced front panel. 6) Tested Unit. 7) FYI - I found that the locking mechanism stays locked until cycle completely finishes on its own. DO NOT force the cycle to end. Lid will NOT unlock. Read more

I replaced the switch, the plunger, plunger guide and the lid cam, but the cam still didn't turn on the switch. Turned out someone had stood on the washer and bent the lid slightly, not enough to notice, but since I had ruled out just about everything else I started looking at the lid itself. I ended up bending it back close to it's original shape and now it works fine. I guess I learned a few things about washing machines though. Went on line general information made me realise I needed to replace the door lock.Signed into appliancepartspros.com found the part and ordered it. That took about 5 minutes. A day and a half later the part arrived at my home. Repair took about 15 total minutes machine works like new again. Went on line to Appliance Parts Pros Brought up the parts diagram located the new latch and prong for the drawer. My new parts arrived in 2 days installed the parts put the drawer assembly back together closed the drawer all all is fine. I have another pedestal drawer under the washer all the same age so I ordered a spare fully knowing I will need it sooner or later. Read more

I am so blessed. I went online. Found the brackets. Watch the video for the brackets I chose. And lucky me. I did not have to pull the dishwasher out. The installer did not have it flush under the counter. So I was able to pull the dishwasher forward unhook the damage brackets and insert the new. Put the dishwasher back in. Two screws. Now the balanced and secure dishwasher washes better than ever and I did not have to pay an extraordinary fee for a repairman. I'm 68 and take care of a 72 year... Read more

We noticed several screws were missing from our dryer door hinges which caused the door to sag and the strike bent as the door slammed. We easily removed the door and took it apart, then removed the old strike and installed this new one. We pushed it in place from the inside of the door until it clicked in place, now works great Read more

The water dispenser stopped working on my Sears Kenmore (Whirlpool) side-by-side refrigerator and after much research on the web I purchased the parts that commonly failed for this condition. I should have first taken the dispenser assembly apart but I didn't--it looked a little too intimidating to do twice.
