Microwave door won't open when you press the button? This door release lever connects the button to the latch mechanism. DIY fix in 30 minutes.
Turn off breaker, remove all screws { 4 on mine } inside oven door holding oven and microwave to kitchen cabinet and slide oven assembly out of cabinet {on to a temporary shelf of {4} 5 gallon buckets/plywood/bricks/shims that I made on the floor atop a scrap of carpet} just enough to access the side and rear screws of microwave's protective metal housing, then remove a total of 16 screws { there were 2 screws just inside top of "opened" microwave door that were holding top flat silver metal... Cam that engages the lid switch when the washer lid closes, enabling the washer to operate. If your washer won't start or stops mid-cycle, this cam may be worn or broken.
I replaced the switch, the plunger, plunger guide and the lid cam, but the cam still didn't turn on the switch. Turned out someone had stood on the washer and bent the lid slightly, not enough to notice, but since I had ruled out just about everything else I started looking at the lid itself. I ended up bending it back close to it's original shape and now it works fine. I guess I learned a few things about washing machines though. One lesson is when you pull off the controls, the hose leading... Read more

This is a small magnet that works with the reed switch sensor to detect whether the refrigerator door or dispenser drawer is open or closed. It triggers the door ajar alarm and controls the interior light. Replace this magnet if the door ajar alarm sounds constantly even when the door is shut, or if the interior light stays on or off regardless of door position.
Ordered leg. Cover and magnet switch. I did not need magnet switch, it came on the new leg cover. Read more
Fix a dryer door that won't stay closed or pops open during cycles. This metal door strike secures the door and engages the safety switch. Easy DIY repair.
We noticed several screws were missing from our dryer door hinges which caused the door to sag and the strike bent as the door slammed. We easily removed the door and took it apart, then removed the old strike and installed this new one. We pushed it in place from the inside of the door until it clicked in place, now works great Read more

The refrigerator water dispenser lever arm activates water flow when pressed and returns to position when released. Replace when the lever becomes stuck, breaks off, or fails to properly activate the water dispensing mechanism.
The water dispenser stopped working on my Sears Kenmore (Whirlpool) side-by-side refrigerator and after much research on the web I purchased the parts that commonly failed for this condition. I should have first taken the dispenser assembly apart but I didn't--it looked a little too intimidating to do twice. As it turns out, what actually broke was the plastic assembly that holds the water actuator switch in place so the dispenser lever could not strike it. I was able to secure it in place... Read more
