• Door stuck closed

Turn off breaker, remove all screws { 4 on mine } inside oven door holding oven and microwave to kitchen cabinet and slide oven assembly out of cabinet {on to a temporary shelf of {4} 5 gallon buckets/plywood/bricks/shims that I made on the floor atop a scrap of carpet} just enough to access the side and rear screws of microwave's protective metal housing, then remove a total of 16 screws { there were 2 screws just inside top of "opened" microwave door that were holding top flat silver metal... 1) Ordered part. 2) Removed front panel by loosening the two screws at the bottom front. 3) Removed old Safety Switch/Lid Lock by disconnecting wires (plug and 2 female disconnects) 4) Reconnected all wires and reinstalled switch. 5) Replaced front panel. 6) Tested Unit. 7) FYI - I found that the locking mechanism stays locked until cycle completely finishes on its own. DO NOT force the cycle to end. Lid will NOT unlock. Read more

Went on line to Appliance Parts Pros Brought up the parts diagram located the new latch and prong for the drawer. My new parts arrived in 2 days installed the parts put the drawer assembly back together closed the drawer all all is fine. I have another pedestal drawer under the washer all the same age so I ordered a spare fully knowing I will need it sooner or later. Read more

I replaced the switch, the plunger, plunger guide and the lid cam, but the cam still didn't turn on the switch. Turned out someone had stood on the washer and bent the lid slightly, not enough to notice, but since I had ruled out just about everything else I started looking at the lid itself. I ended up bending it back close to it's original shape and now it works fine. I guess I learned a few things about washing machines though. • Door won't open after self cleaning cycle

I knew the door latch was suppose to lock for self clean and it wasn't, so I took the back off and after tracing out wires and the linkage to the door latch, determined that it was a faulty motor on the latch lock. I am so blessed. I went online. Found the brackets. Watch the video for the brackets I chose. And lucky me. I did not have to pull the dishwasher out. The installer did not have it flush under the counter. So I was able to pull the dishwasher forward unhook the damage brackets and insert the new. Put the dishwasher back in. Two screws.
