The refrigerator water dispenser lever arm activates water flow when pressed and returns to position when released. Replace when the lever becomes stuck, breaks off, or fails to properly activate the water dispensing mechanism.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Refrigerator water dispenser stopped working   Carlos R. • Houston , TX • September 19, 2014

The water dispenser stopped working on my Sears Kenmore (Whirlpool) side-by-side refrigerator and after much research on the web I purchased the parts that commonly failed for this condition. I should have first taken the dispenser assembly apart but I didn't--it looked a little too intimidating to do twice. As it turns out, what actually broke was the plastic assembly that holds the water actuator switch in place so the dispenser lever could not strike it. I was able to secure it in place... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The handle was bent so the latch kept locking the oven door regardless of handle position   Matthew H. • Kirkland , WA • January 08, 2016

I replaced the latch and handle assembly. It's easy when you see how it goes together. Unscrew the two screws under the front edge of the stovetop, have a helper lift the stovetop up, unscrew the six screws holding the metal plate down and remove the plate, unplug the wires connected to the latch switch, and unscrew the two front screws holding the latch assembly in place. Replace the latch assembly and put it back together in reverse. Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Freezer gasket replaced by 77 year old lady   Patricia R. • Florence , OR • July 09, 2017

I purchased a freezer gasket + key// from appliancepartspros.com //easy to order. I did not need to lock up my freezer but thought it might help the gasket seat (good thought). To replace gasket I started at top of door, wow, I should have started at bottom. Hated laying on my "belly" to screw in gasket. Ok, I am 77 years old but got the job done. All went okay until I had to close the door, the door would not stay shut. Key: I locked the door for a week. New seal is settling in, freezer is... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You I accidentally stepped on the door of my Samsung dryer. The door is intact but brackets bent.   Margaret C. • Tampa , FL • June 07, 2018

I am so blessed. I went online. Found the brackets. Watch the video for the brackets I chose. And lucky me. I did not have to pull the dishwasher out. The installer did not have it flush under the counter. So I was able to pull the dishwasher forward unhook the damage brackets and insert the new. Put the dishwasher back in. Two screws. Now the balanced and secure dishwasher washes better than ever and I did not have to pay an extraordinary fee for a repairman. I'm 68 and take care of a 72 year... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Door latch froze halfway between cleaning lock and open would not close or open   Craig M. • Carmel , IN • November 14, 2014

Worked with phone person at AppliancePartsPros and determined problem could be either the latch motor or the circuit board. Ordered parts for both the latch motor and the control circuit board. Since a relay on the board was clicking and the motor would not budge, I installed them both and oven is working again!! Presumably because of the number of warehouses, I ordered the parts on Sunday and they arrived Tuesday morning. Great help! Great speed! Perfect matches on the parts!! Read more
