After researching the problem, I ordered a new cooling fan. My "fix-it" guy winds up in the ICU for 3 weeks! So...YouTube here I come. It appeared pretty simple in video form, except the video wasn't of my stove. All in all, what looked like no more than a 6 screw removal, turned into tearing 1/2 the stove apart. Left new gasket on the table overnight so it could stretch out. Removed the door. Temporarily replaced it with plastic and tape. Pulled off old gasket. Cleaned surfaces with decreaser and wiped dry with paper towels and alcohol. Inserted new gasket. Replaced door. Read more

Given all the symptoms, we figured that the control board went out. First, unplug the refrigerator. The control board was easy to access by removing a panel on the back of the fridge. I unplugged all the connectors and used a putty knife to release the board from the plastic retaining clips. • Little to no heat when broiling

The upper element in the top oven burned out. This was likely due to sugary food that had gotten on the element when the food was moved in/out of the element. The element was coated in crusty, burned food and the element was cracked in six or so places. The oven is a Maytag Gemini double oven range. 18 year old Maytag Atlantis top load washer had a load knocking and rattle sound with excessive vibration when the tub was spinning, but not when it was agitating. They was no water leaking. I determined the hidden bake element below the oven cavity was not working, because the bottom of the oven was cold during normal use. If you have a built-in microwave + oven combination (mine is KitchenAid Model No. KEMS308SSS05), this is a difficult repair. The engineer who designed this oven should be invited to succeed elsewhere. Our 19 year old Whirlpool dryer quit heating. After checking the thermal fuse, I found the ignitor electrically open. I bought an ignitor at a local store as there was a national holiday the next day and I did not want the dryer inoperative waiting several days for shipping.
