• Gas igniter glows, but will not light

The oven would not heat up but the broiler and stove top burners all worked so I replaced the igniter. The part arrived quicker than I expected - one day with regular shipping - and the repair also went much quicker than expected. After accessing the igniter I was able to unplug the plastic modular connection. My KitchenAid refrigerator was not cooling, but the freezer was working perfectly. The help section here listed three parts that could be defective–defrost thermostat, evaporator fan motor and blade, and air diffuser/damper control–so I replaced them all. After many years of excellent service the burner I use most often on the top of my JenAir range rusted through. After trying to remove the burner, which was firmly rusted into place, I decided to replace the cooktop pan, both burners and igniters. It was an easy repair to swap out the new parts for the old, and the only tool necessary was a #2 phillips screw driver. • Will not fill with water

Ordered new inlet water valve and float switch kit. After repairs it now works fine. However the water inlet valve outlet end for fill hose (not water source) and wire connections (supposedly for this unit) were oriented 180 degrees opposite. I had to gently remove the blue plastic valve off the metal support bracket and turn it around and press back in place. Fortunately it appears it was designed for either orientation. Replaced the timer - This should have been a VERY easy repair however, there is a clip (holding the timer to panel) on the bottom of timer than must be removed with a pair of pliers. There is absolutely NO room to access this clip so I had to take apart much of the dryer to gain access. What should have been a 15 minute repair turned into a frustrating hour. Read more

I looked up the error code on the internet and determined that the drain pump had failed. I watched the Appliance Parts Pros repair video on how to replace this part, ordered a new pump and installed it myself in less than 30 minutes. This was an easy job that saved me the price of a service call, at least one hour of labor, and perhaps a markup on the part--probably around $200.00 total. • Won't start

My friend researched online what would make a dishwasher just stop working, no power. The person on the you tube video showed how to first start with the thermal fuse. Then searched online for the thermal fuse. You had the part for a small price. I felt it was worth trying to see if that may be the issue. IT WORKED!! I noticed when we would run washer water would stay in tub. Pump would hum but not pump water out. Layed washer on its belly . Pump was at bottom of washer. Easy access . Removed 3 screws,2 wires , & 2 hose clamps. Didn't have to call Maytag Repair man. Easy Read more

Tried to put refrigerator in defrost mode and defrost would not initiate. Checked the bi-metal and heater, both tested good. Replaced the ADC board and refrigerator went in to defrost. problem solved. Read more
