Washer Dryer Combo Parts

Every time I tried to start our dryer, the "Sensing Light" came on, I heard a little "click," and the dryer would not start. Removed front and top panels of washer, removed old switch assembly. Then mounted and hooked up new switch assembly, put panels back on, turned on power and unit now works fine. Replaced upper and lower felts. Painted rubbing surface on inside of drum with refrigerator enamel. Took out drum and lubed rear bearing. Replaced 2 of the 3 thermostats, and the belt just on principle. Spent a lot of time with shop-vac removing lint from drier and exhaust ducts. Runs great and is no longer cooking or staining clothes. First of you need to remove front panel of the washer, using a putty knife push the tabs between the top of the machine and the front panel. Once front panel is exposed drain hose is connected to pump which is in the front of the machine,very easy to access with the front off. Remove old hose with pliers and discard ,run new hose thru outlet on the back of the machine and secure new hose to drain and secure hose to the machine, reinstall front panel of washer and that's it Read more

I changed the pump and also discovered the coin trap was wearing thin because it was rubbing against the sheet metal. So I replaced that as well. It took about 15 minutes to remove the coin trap and pump and about 20 minutes to install. The shipping was amazingly fast. I received the parts the next morning. The hardest part of this repair was determining where (controls, motor, belt or transmission) the problem was. I could see little pieces of rubber from the belt beneath the motor pulley, but the machine is 20 years old and some wear is to be expected. The thermal cutoff went bad because of lint being trapped in dryer vent and blocked air-flow from dryer. Removed accumilation of lint and installed new thermal -cutoff and thermostat and dryer now works great. Read more

Went on line looking on how to accomplish this and Appliance parts pro site came up and it was exactly what I needed. Order was sent on Sunday note and on Tuesday afternoon it was delivered.
