By GE. Fits many different washer brands and models. Includes insert.
The new GE washers come with a fill valve that has a 1/8" hole for the hot water inlet. This is probably for energy savings or something. So, I installed the older style GE fill valve on my new machine. Since the older style has larger inlet holes for both hot and cold water, it fixed my problem easily. NOTE: The outlet nipple on the new style GE fill valves are larger than the older style. Therefore, I had to make a coupling piece to attach the older style GE valve outlet nipple to the... Read more
This diverter valve directs wash water inside the machine, switching flow between internal paths during wash and drain/recirculation steps. Replacing a failed diverter restores proper water routing so cycles advance and complete as designed.
I replaced the door seal for the leak. We had a small tear in the sealing surface that resulted in water dripping down the front of the machine (just below the door). I also replaced the detergent dispenser main box with diverter unit. This corrected excessive water being left inside the detergent dispenser at the end of each cycle. I highly recommend replacing the dispenser seal and gasket nozzle to be on the safe side. As these parts are subject to wear and fatigue over the life of the... Read more

The repair is easy. Two screws in the back hold the top cover - once they are off you need to slide the cover back and it comes off. The valve is right there where the cold water hose is connected. Disconnect the control wires / clamp and slide back the wire clamps / remove the two rubber hosed / remove the old valve (it is snapped in place - look at the new one to understand the snap mechanism) / install the new valve. The repair takes less than 10 min. I tested and sure enough... now it... Read more
New seals come with this valve.
Opened the washer (details later) and noted the controls and water path. Ordered dispenser bottom and cover and dispenser valve assembly and rubber washers. When the parts arrived I removed the top portion of the detergent dispenser assembly; removed the door and 2 screws from opposite door wall; snap open the front cover and lifted it off; removed 1 metal screw each from the bottom front corners of the top cover; lifted the top cover and used a piece of wood to hold it up; pull... Fix continuous water flow or won't-stop-filling issues with this washer hot water inlet valve. Controls hot water during fill cycles. DIY-friendly, 30-minute repair.
After researching on line I was able to narrow down the problem to either the cold water of hot water fill valve. These valves are electronically controlled and can go bad thus causing the washing machine to not fill properly. Nf stands for "no fill". I replaced the cold water valve first which was held by two screws and a couple of wires. It literally took me 5 minutes to replace the part. As soon as I started the wash cycle I could tell I had fixed the problem because the humming noise that... Read more

REPLACED ENTIRE WATER CONTROL SYSTEM. Being quite anal about my planning projects, I played a Youtube video about this job. I screen captured the important steps, printed them out and taped above the washer. It was a good approach because it gave me a valid reference of the wiring harness reinstallation. Overall, the project was easier than I thought. Great results. Momma is pleased and is no longer complaining that we have to buy a new $1,000 washer ! Read more
