I replaced the water inlet valve. Apparently, the hard water in my house slowly deposits crud around the valves such at over time, the valve seals quit forming a tight seal when closing. This allows water to slowly leak through, even with the machine off. I removed the top of the washer, disconnected hoses and wires and replaced the valve in fairly short order. After researching on line I was able to narrow down the problem to either the cold water of hot water fill valve. These valves are electronically controlled and can go bad thus causing the washing machine to not fill properly. Nf stands for "no fill".
