We knew at least one door hinge cable assembly or hinge spring was broken (the door started falling down rapidly and became heavy to close) so we ordered two of each since we had read to go ahead and replace the damaged items on both sides. Took out 3 torx screws on each side, much of the insides fell out at this point. At this point I had the new part and what was left of the old part and the adjust lever. Screwed them back together and that was that. The new support piece was not needed. Read more

• Will not fill with water

Removed the old one. ordered a new one from appliancepartspros.com on Thursday afternoon, had the part on my front porch by Friday afternoon and installed it the next Monday morning. After I determined the problem, actual time fixing was maybe 30 minutes. Read more

Found parts at GE website. Shopped around and liked prices/reviews for appliancepartspro and made the purchase. 4 days late the parts arrived and I swapped them out. Minor assembly for removing water sprayer from old top rack and attaching to the new rack. Took 10 minutes tops and we were back up and running. Read more

At first it seems that the pulley can't be removed to make this repair. However,after removing the screw that holds the pulley in place, if you take a small screwdriver and tap the center of the pulley bracket with a hammer it comes out from behind and will go back in with hand pressure after repair. Upon taking the door apart it looked like the leak was coming from the vent so I replaced the vent cap, vent seal and the transition piece. I did not have to change the seals. It took me a while to figure out how to get the door apart, but once I did, it was fairly straightforward. Read more

Replaced the sump drain hose. Read more

Removed and cleaned all inside components of dishwasher. Replaced the sump inlet and fine filter. I decided to complete the repair myself when my appliance repairman did not want to help me. • Will not fill with water

Ordered new inlet water valve and float switch kit. After repairs it now works fine. However the water inlet valve outlet end for fill hose (not water source) and wire connections (supposedly for this unit) were oriented 180 degrees opposite. I had to gently remove the blue plastic valve off the metal support bracket and turn it around and press back in place. Fortunately it appears it was designed for either orientation. I first verified the house panel circuit breaker was not tripped. It wasn't so I removed the bottom kick plate of the unit, using a circuit cricket I verified the power feed to the unit was live. The bottom kick plate had a trouble shooting guide in a plastic sleeve which I opened and reviewed. Based on information in there it appeared the TOC was likely the issue. • Won't start

My friend researched online what would make a dishwasher just stop working, no power. The person on the you tube video showed how to first start with the thermal fuse. Then searched online for the thermal fuse. You had the part for a small price. I felt it was worth trying to see if that may be the issue. IT WORKED!!
