Took out 3 torx screws on each side, much of the insides fell out at this point. At this point I had the new part and what was left of the old part and the adjust lever. Screwed them back together and that was that. The new support piece was not needed. Read more

I am 72 years old. I appreciate my dishwasher, especially during the Holidays when we have lots of company. My friend researched online what would make a dishwasher just stop working, no power. The person on the you tube video showed how to first start with the thermal fuse. Then searched online for the thermal fuse. You had the part for a small price. I felt it was worth trying to see if that may be the issue. IT WORKED!! Disconnected dishwasher and moved it out from under the counter. Found that the left side door spring cable was not connected to the spring. The plastic end of the cable was broken off. Removed and cleaned all inside components of dishwasher. Replaced the sump inlet and fine filter. I decided to complete the repair myself when my appliance repairman did not want to help me.
