The part just snaps on the basket. You have to remove the clips on the end of the runner arms to be able to remove the basket. Once it was out the old arm snap off and you snap on the new arm. This is the upper spray arm assembly that mounts beneath the top rack of the dishwasher. It rotates during the wash cycle to spray water onto dishes loaded in the upper rack. Replace this spray arm if dishes on the top rack are not getting clean, the arm is cracked, the spray holes are clogged beyond cleaning, or the arm no longer spins freely.
