Frigidaire Control Board

I called a local appliance service person, who diagnosed the problem as a bad main power board and offered to fix it for a substantial sum. I found the part on Appliance Parts Pros and found it on my doorstep 2 days later (even though I only used the standard shipping option). Replaced the main power circuit board. Took less than 5 minutes, just needed a small wrench to get the screw that held the board holder in place. Read more

I looked up and ordered a new display panel. Since it was not showing anything I was hoping something on the board just failed. When I got the new part I plugged it in and it has been working fine since. I wish I could have found some trouble shooting options for this type of problem but I could not find anything related to a blank display. Like I said fortunately the new panel worked. Andrew helped me trouble shoot the problem. First I replaced the elments but that did not fix the problem. When I spoke with Andrew he told me how to test the OHMS on the new and old element and they were both readying 26 OHMS. I then replaced the control panel for the clock and oven controls. Purchased a new Control Board, as well as a new Thermister. Thermister was not absolutely necessary and could have been tested but it was simple enough to just replace during the control board replacement. Since it was a good time to replace the carbon air filter, I included that in the order too. Ordering the parts was very easy and completing the order the same. After checking, I narrowed the scope to the evaporator fan and the main control board. I replaced the fan and still had the same issue, then I moved to the main board and that resolved my issue. It was a very easy job. Read more

Called and asked what was wrong, your helpful people told me what I needed and ordered it right away. Watched the you tube video. Gathered my son and we proceeded to take on the job.( I handed him the screwdriver and held things in place.) Within minutes we had the job done. Replaced timer motor. Hardest part was removing timer knob on this model. You need to access the back of broken timer knob and PULL OUT THE WHITE PIECE THAT LOOKS LIKE THE BACK OF THE KNOB. PULL IT COMPLETELY OUT AND KNOB WILL RELEASE. The rest is easy. Read more
