If your dryer won't shut off or cycles won't advance, the timer may have failed. This control manages drying cycles and run time. DIY repair in 20 minutes.
With a Phillips screw driver, on the back of the control panel there was about 6 or 7 screws to undo, to take the cover off and 2 screws holding the timer in place. Just undone those, took out old timer, made sure I took wires from old timer one at a time, and, put on new timer. Put everything back, although I had to find a couple of very small washers to make the timer fit tight, in the 2 holes it came out of. Luckily I had those or would of been a very loose timer. Very easy to do. Read more

After doing online research about this particular error code I found www.appliancepartspros.com. First, I will never, ever make the mistake of unscrewing anything on an appliance while it is still connected to power - what started as a cosmetic fix on the freezer door ended up costing me $340 to fix after I shorted out one of the boards for the dispenser. Replaced both the Ice dispenser power board and Ice dispenser control board. I tried to get information on how to test which of my boards had gone bad, since these are pricey parts, but could not find a reliable way to test. And since... Read more

I ordered all three because it was only a matter of time before either the heating element or thermostat went bad. I only changed out the control board and now have the other parts on hand for an immediate fix in the future. Appliance pros were awesome.
